Selling my old house
Met with some problem selling my old house. This idiot buyer who signed the option form and paid $1K for the option fee decide to back out on the deal 2 days ago. Although i gain the $1K from them, but i would rather be able to sell the house. The idiotic buyer wasted my time with them. They seems so sincere and willing to buy the house. Heard that they go another house in Toh Guan Road. So now, have to put my house for sale again lor. Hopefully would be able to sell it off at the price i wanted. I have to settle this house before 21st May, coz i would be going to Bangkok on the 22nd May and wouldn’t be back till 30th May. And my 1st HDB Appointment for buying of the new house will be on 1st Jun (i hope). And there is still a Letter of Offer that i need to sign in order for the bridging loan to be approved.
Wondering around my new house
Today, went to service my van in the late morning, then went to my new house in Woodlands. Decided to take the Upper Thomson Road -> SLE - > Woodlands Exit to reach my new house. Parked at the carpark below and went to had lunch at the coffeeshop at Blk 806, just behind my block. Had Hainanese Chicken Rice. Quite good. Then took a walk to Causeway Point. Took me about 8 min walk to reach there. Just before reaching it, decide to go down to the Bus Interchange in the basement to have a look. At Causeway Point, took me 2 hour to finish walking it. Comparing it to Tiong Bahru Plaza, it was much much bigger and more activities and crowd there.
There are McDonald, KFC, Burger King, MOS Burger, Yoshinoya, Pizza Hut, Pastamania, Sakae Sushi, Cavana and a few more restaurant. There is also 2 food court there. One is the normal type, the other is halal. There is also Courts, Metro, John Little, Popular Bookstore. Not forgetting smaller shops like Uncle Tibits, Money Exchange, Hang Ten, Giordano, Old Chang Kee, 7-11 and even Time Zone Arcade …etc. Oh, there is also a Nokia Care Centre there. Cold Storage is at the basement and Cathay Cinema is at the highest level.
After walking around Causeway Point, made my way under the rain to the opposite building, Woodlands Civic Centre. There is another McDonald there, and there is a thai restaurant, Lerk Thai. There is a DBS Bank, Standchart Bank, Library, a Furniture Shop and also SP Service Centre.
After all this, took a walk and found Fu Shan Garden. Walk around the area and then found my way to my block. It was still raining then. Went to my van and then went all the way to Ikea Tampines. Walk around there for sometime to find ideas for my own house design. Also look at the furnitures to find wat suit my design. Went to Courts Megastore after that and got myself admiring the Plasma/LCD TV. A dilema on which to get.
By the time i finishd, it was oredi near to 8pm. Went home and had dinner, then rest and awaits tomorrow house viewing.
House Viewing
Today, a total of 9 grp of people came to view my house. 3 grp came in the late morning, with the earliest starting at 11.45am and the last at 12.45pm. Dun find them to be serious buyer. there are 2 indian family and an old chinese couple who has retired. Then went out with my friend for lunch and chit chat a bit.
In the afternoon, 5 grps came starting from 5pm till 7.30pm. Some of them seems interested, but think money may be an issue to them. Hopefully, out of all the grp of people who came to view my house today, one of them will buy my house….. Well, i can only pray and awaits the good news (if any) lor.
Found Another Buyer!
Yeah! Found another buyer for my house liao! Thanx to my fren, he found me another buyer for my house. This buyer seems like a serious buyer. Its a small family and they are moving from Woodlands (where i am moving to… haha). The wanted to shift here becoz their mother is staying around this area and is help to take care of their 7 month old son. So it become more convenient for them.
Anyway, they have put the $1K option fee and are waiting for their bank loan to be approved, Then they will exercise the option and everything will follows. Well, everything seems to be on track… for now.. hope everything will be more or less smooth….
My New House Floor Plan
Yeah! My Friend (Agent) had help me got the floor plan for my new house in Woodlands. So excited with the floor plan. Now starting to do some planning of the layouts liao. But will be going to my new house this coming saturday to do some more measurements, like the height of the ceilings and the windows and some of the extrusion.
Went to Marina Square just now to look at mattress. Was planning to look at Simmons Mattress, but when i reach there, found out that shop was closed for company function. Wat a sheer luck. Anyway, was further up and found another famous brand Serta. Talk with the sales person and he recommend Serta Georgia. Pocketed spring and firm. Cost ard $2000. And with an additional of $300+, i can get a bedframe too. Sounds tempting. This would solve my problem of bedframe, although i have found one at Brighton Furniture Shop, but it cost $999 there. Anyway, this sat, will go to look at Simmons again. Maybe go to the branch in Great World City instead. Nearer.
