Error! Error! Error!

Filed under: My New House — by eR1c at 10:52 pm on Tuesday, July 3, 2007

Today, went up to my new house and saw that the plastering was all done. The wall look so nice and flat!

But upon entering the Master Bedroom Toilet, i was so surprise and shocked! Things have been installed wrongly in the toilets!

The tap on the MBR Toilet basin was wrong! this is supposed to be my kitchen sink tap!

I was wondering why is the kitchen sink tap doing on the MBR toilet basin?? I went to common toilet and see and there it is, my MBR Toilet Basin Tap, now installed on the common toilet basin!

Was wondering why, so called Celia (she is the apprentice of Bobby) ans ask her how come like this? Found out that there is missing one Basin Lever tap. Then i called Uned and look for Gregory. After going thru the invoice item by item, i found that the basin lever tap was not in the invoice. That day, when selecting the taps, i mentioned that i want the tap for the common toilet basin. But during writing down the invoice, this item was missed out. Told Gregory to send one of these tap to Bobby’s office and i will pay for them later. Called Celia again to ask her to swop the taps.

The i discovered another problem! Becoz of the kitchen sink tap on the MBR Toilet Basin, the glass shelf and the mirror was pushed further up! The glass shelf was oredi at my chest level (i am 1.77m) and the mirror higher. Called Celia again and highlight this to her… She ask me to do some marking on the height of the items and they will ask the worker to shift the items down. I did the markings and hope that the mirror, after bringing down, will cover the previous holes… Lucky the holes are drilled in the inbetween of tiles. So minimum disturbance of the surrounding tiles…

See the MBR Toilet basin aand i found some error! The PVC Water Trap and the piping under it was normal PVC white piping! I mean this design suppose to have chrome water trap and piping to made it look nice mah. Call Gregory again and he forget to put this inside and and also told Bobby about my pipings. Called Celia and she said will change to chrome color for me.

Error Part 2

After the MBR Toilet, went to the common toilet to see… and saw another problem!

The water heater was supposed to be near the windows. But they installed at the opposite location! i have specify the location to Bobby last sat while doing the electrical markings. And it is still wrong. At the above location, it will be hit by the toilet door lor, coz the door is supposed to swing to the left! Called Celia again and told her that i wanted the water heater near the window and the 2-way tap below it. And the most important thing is that i dun wanna see holes on the wall tiles lor. She said will change the location to where i want lor… and will make sure that i dun see the holes lor…

I do the markings on the wall for the water heater and the shower head pole, and also the tap.

Shower Head

Filed under: My New House — by eR1c at 12:15 am on Wednesday, July 4, 2007

Trying the water from the shower head and found that the MBR Toilet shower head is not good. This new shower set was not the original, as the original is white and i want the accessories to be silver/chrome design, so bought this shower head.

But the water output for new shower head was very very weak.

Try the shower head in the common toilet was good.

Took the shower head from the common toilet and place it temporary in the MBR Toilet set and the water turns out just fine. So for my MBR toilet, i will use the original shower head to i find one that is good enough or not lor

Some Amendments

Filed under: My New House — by eR1c at 11:39 pm on Wednesday, July 4, 2007

Last nite, didn’t have a good sleep, coz keep thinking of the problems in my new house… argh…. so today, after my medical appoint, rushed down to my new house to take a look.

They have changed the basin tap to the originally planned basin tap for my master bedroom toilet. Also, they have shifted the glass shelf down, as well as the mirror. Luckily, they drilled those holes in between the tiles, and the mirror, after shifting down, are able to cover the holes. So they will cover the holes with the white plasters. The water trap under the basin and the pipes are not changed to chrome pipings yet.

They have taken down the water heater in the common toilet liao. and according to Celia, they will replace those tiles which have the old holes.

The tap will also be shifted.

Also, query with my contractor how come the toilet bowl for the MBR Toilet was not installed yet. Found out that this is becoz the supplier had sent the toilet bowl with the wrong hole size, so awaiting them to resend the correct size.

42″ Philips LCD TV

Filed under: My New House — by eR1c at 11:22 pm on Friday, July 6, 2007

Today went to IMM to meet some friends for dinner and chit chat. After chit chat, we decide to go to the BEST Denki to walk around and look at LCD TV. Over there saw the Philips LCD TV Model that i am eyeing on, the price has drop to $2699. 2 weeks ago, it was $2999. And it came with either $700 Philips Voucher or $420 Giant Vouchers. Dunno is it that with this price, there will be no vouchers, so ask one of the sales assistant. They said that with this price, still have the vouchers. So came the dilemma on whether to buy it now or wait for the Comex Show in late August. Talked with sales assistant and found out that Philips is going to discontinue this model. That’s why they are pushing this model out so cheap. and throwing so much freebies. And that’s why the newer model price is higher and less freebies. Also, the sales assistant told me, after he went to check stock, that this is the last shipment. Ponder for a while and after much consideration, decide to buy it there and then lor. Coz if not, tomorrow or sunday, if decided to buy, have to go down to BEST Denki to buy, very troublesome lor. And if sway sway, alot of others buying it, then no more liao… will heartache lor…

Anyway, the price is lower than my budget of $3K for LCD TV and also since got vouchers, much better. Now is to decide to take the Philips Voucher or the Giant Voucher. I am more towards taking the Giant Vouchers, since i can use it to buy grocceries and the vouchers have 6 months validity. Philips voucher have only 1 month validity. Well, i have till end of this month to decide lor…
