Went to IKEA
Today, wanted to go down to my new house to have a look and also to meet the POA to get the letter box key, but he is not in Singapore and won’t know wat time he is coming back. Then Benny called up and asked me to go to Sim Lim Sq with him to buy his new PDA as well as go to IKEA to buy a large mirror. Coz i driving van mah, can help him carry it back.
Met up with him around 2.30pm and went to Sim Lim Sq. It was raining quite heavy. Reach Sim Lim Sq and after walking around, he bought his PDA. Then we went to Tampines IKEA and look for his mirror. Meanwhile, i also look around to confirm the furnitures i need to buy, as well as checking on the deliveries charges and time. Also ask about the IKEA friends card. Found out that spending more than $300 then will be able to apply for the IKEA friends Card and can use it to clock points for my purchase. Also, the amount spend will be immediately credited to the card as points. Anything is that Spending more than $3000 will have free delivery. And i can include anything in subsequent purchase into the same delivery as long as it is 1 day before the delivery date.
Have to plan how and when i will buy the furnitures, so that it can be delivered on the 28th July, which i am trying to arrange my new bed delivery on the same day. IKEA will only hold the delivery to a maximum of 1 week, after which they will charge a holding amount lor. So most likely i will go IKEA shopping on the 22nd July liao.
Hacking Started
On Friday, the hacking of my new house started. Yeah! But wasn’t free to go down to take a look. So went down today to have a look and took some photos. Went there and found that the main door was oredi taken down. But there was a chain with a number lock to the main gate. Didn’t know the number and didn’t try to call Bobby. So stretch my hand inside and took some photos. After taking the photos, went to Causeway Point to walk abit while waiting to meet up with the POA to take the letter box key and also to pass him a Post Office Notice for the Owner. But later, he called up and said he was stuck at the causeway while coming back to Singapore. So decide not to meet up with him as i am going to meet some friends after that.

Today evening, went down to Bobby’s office to do some selections. Things that were selected today are:

Sanitary Wares
Today afternoon, went to buy my sanitary wares for my new house. Was given this supplier by Bobby.
Not bad i would say. Was given a good price coz due to intro from Bobby. Also, becoz of this, i can’t post the price that i get from them over here. Spent 3 hrs there to select and think thru all the things i wanted to buy to see if it fits my own simple design.
The toilet bowl (w.c.) was from this brand Velin. It came with a delay close or slow close toilet seat and cover. According the them, the toilet bowl flushing system is world number 4 or 5. Wanted to get dark blue for my master bedroom toilet, but this brand dun have this colour. So the next alternative will be sky blue colour. Common Toilet’s toilet bowl is almond colour, and it goes with Velin’s toilet basin. (also almond colour). I dun have any photos of it at the moment. When i got it and taken the photos, then will post lor. The tap for the basin is this:
Master bedroom Toilet Basin. I like this design when i saw it somewhere else before. The design is the same as this, but the colour is blue. The bracket is stainless steel itself.
And it goes with this tap, which is called ‘Gun Lever Basin Tap’. The shape is straight, so it is almost the same as the bracket.
This is the Kitchen Washing Sink. It just came when i was browsing for my stuffs. The length is about 52cm, width is about 42cm and the depth is about 23cm. It is made in Germany and is a one whole piece. ie. not wielding point.

The Instant Water Heater for both toilet. Its brand is Champs.
The common toilet will use the original shower spray, but my master bedroom toilet will use this one:

And the glass shelf below the mirror for the toiletries.
And these will be the Bidet Spray, where it can be used to wash the toilet bowl or the buttock. This is for the Common Toilet.
And this is for the Master Bedroom.
And this is the 2-way tap, which is used to connect to the instant water heater, as well as the rubber hose.
Also, i bought a washing machine tap and another spray tap to create another point for the Common Toilet.
All the above items will be delivered to my new house on the 30th July. 
Have not buy the pole for hanging facial towels and another for hanging bath towels. Will only buy when the rest of the items are in and i can then measured the space i had.

The Kitchen is being hacked away liao. Yeah!
Laying of Tiles started
Went to my new place today. The laying of tiles had started liao. yeah! can’t wait to see the completion of the laying of tiles.
This is the pile of sands used for making the cement.
Tiling Works started. They were about 1/3 done.
This sat will be going to my new house to see the tiling works again. Also to meet Bobby there to decide on the layout of the balcony tiles as well as the pebble wash details. Must said that they are quite fast with the works.
Running Around
Today, went to IMM in the afternoon ard 2pm. Drove there. Parking was crowded. Have to go all the way up to the top level and still have to anyhow parked. Went to the third level and saw a few shops selling sanitary wares. Went in to have a look. Still have some sanitary wares still not buy yet.. although those are not critical yet.
After walking around for a short while, went to the Serta Sleep Centre to order my bed mattress. Have been looking at Serta Louisiana since the last time i was there and was intro to it. Comfortable to my liking. The price was $2199, and with a 5% discount, it was $2089. And i got the mattress with the bedframe and the small bench, with an additional of $300. So total for the bedframe and the mattress was $2389. And 2 pillows, 2 bolster and a king size bed protector was thrown in also. Paid $589 as deposit and will pay the rest when it is near to delivery date.
Went to Hougang St 21, to the Umed shop to take some photos of the cuizino cooking hob. To show my mum on the design lor. Also found that the hardware store beside sells the door handle set that i am looking for. But didn’t buy it yet.
By the time i finished at Hougang, it was almost 4.15pm liao. Have to reach my new house at 5pm, coz supposed to meet Bobby there to finialize the design of the tiles in the living room and the colour of the pebble wash.

Reach my new house around 4.50pm. Went up and saw the workers touching up abit before they called it a day. Just then Celia called me and apologise that she would be late and rushing down from Tampines. So in the mean time, i walk around my new house and see see look look. The tiles are 3/4 done. I must said that they are really quite fast in their work.

Common Toilet.
Balcony Tiles design
Before Celia arrived, i was trying to find a design that i like for the balcony floor together with the worker. The floor will be pebble wash, except for a few piece of homogeneous tiles which kind of lead the way to the home. Took some time and then finally, the design was fixed. The worker then took out a pencil and draw the layout on the floor. He said that he will be laying the tiles base on wat is being drawn, on next Monday.

The two colour of the pebble wash that i was to choose. One was mixed with cement, thus the darker look. The other is using those white cement or something like that. After seeing both, my mind set on the cement mixed pebbles.
After i finished on deciding on the colours and layout. Celia arrived. Told her that the master bedroom and mum’s bedroom got a recess on the wall that is supposed to be cover up. But the worker had done the skirting for the recess point. Also, Celia took down the design i need for the windows and window grilles. The area of concern will be the kitchen window. The design i waned may protrude out of the wall and ‘eat’ into the cabinet for the rubbish chute. Celia said that she will take note of it. And have the workers do some measurement before her. And she will contact me if there are any need lor.
Hood & Hob
Today, after going to SGH with my Dad for review for his knee cap injury after his accident. Need to see if completely heal. After that, went to Uned Bath Station Pte Ltd at Hougang St 21, to buy the hood and hob. I have zoomed down to the Cuizino Brand, just need to see if can get a good price.
After talking with the guy, i was given $530 for both the Hood and Hob. So the question was to get the 2 burner or the 3 burner. Initially, Mum wanted to get only 2 burner. But since both the 2 burner and the 3 burner design is the same price, i thought of getting the 3 burner. At least, the center portion still can put pots or pans. So called my mum to convince her.

Updates on tilings
Went to view my house today. The toilet tiles are up. And they are touching up on the rest of the tilings and also, they are cementing those areas that are hacked to prepare for plastering.

And the balcony tiles with pebble wash. Still dirty, as they are doing grinding of the tiles, etc. Wait till they finish cleaning up… then will see the effect.
More Tilings Update
Abit of updates on the tilings. The balcony tiles at nite… still dirty as they haven’t clean it yet.
This is the base for the washing machine and also the base for the small cabinet which will hide the rubbish chute.
Also the low wall which will hide the washing machine and where the kitchen sink will be is done.
Windows Windows
Yeah! The new windows is up. Quite nice and much better than the old windows. The top hung design is a request from my mum. I also find it useful. At least when it rains, i can still open the top part and let fresh air in, without the rains splattering in.

Plastering
Today morning, went to my new house to do the electrical markings with Bobby and the electrician. While i was there, they are doing the starting the plastering of the house. Some part of it was oredi done. Quite nice.
